Understanding Passepartout Dimensions When selecting a frame with a passepartout (matting), please note that the artwork will be scaled down by one standard size to fit perfectly within the elegant border. The dimensions you select always refer to the outer frame size.

Example:

Selected Size: 50×70 cm frame with passepartout.
Result: The frame and border measure 50×70 cm, while the print inside is 40×50 cm.

Why choose a passepartout? The passepartout creates a professional gallery-style border around the artwork, drawing the eye toward the details of the piece.

Note: This scaling only applies if a passepartout is added. If you choose "No Passepartout," your artwork will be printed to match the full dimensions of the frame (e.g., a 50×70 cm print for a 50×70 cm frame).
